I grew up in beautiful Port Stephens, NSW, and moved to Cairns when I was 12. After finishing high school, I went straight into the banking industry and spent 16 years with one of the major banks. During that time, I worked across a range of roles from teller to management and everything in between . During my time I discovered my love for home lending and helping people achieve their home-buying dreams.
Over the years, I’ve found my focus shifting more toward building genuine relationships and delivering great customer service. I love being able to assist my clients — whether it’s buying their very first home or their tenth — and being a part of that journey with them.
After working with Astute professionally for many years, I knew it was a team that truly cared about its clients. Joining them felt like a natural fit, and I’m proud to be part of a supportive and experienced group that helps clients with all aspects of their financial journey — from home loans and insurance to financial planning and accounting.
I was very impressed with the quality of service and support. Jasmin really went beyond to ensure my equipment loan went as smooth and quickly as possible which took a great deal of stress out of setting up my new business. We have been using John since we bought our first house in 2008 and taken sound advice from him in all our finance dealing ever since; which has included, opening a business, building our second house and now purchasing an investment property. I found every time I rang the office with a query the phone was answered promptly. Gus and his team stayed in contact at all times either by email or phone just to make sure I had complete understanding of the forms I was signing and the procedures they were taking to finalise the loan. I was never left wondering what happens next.
