I grew up in beautiful Port Stephens, NSW, and moved to Cairns when I was 12. After finishing high school, I went straight into the banking industry and spent 16 years with one of the major banks. During that time, I worked across a range of roles from teller to management and everything in between . During my time I discovered my love for home lending and helping people achieve their home-buying dreams.
Over the years, I’ve found my focus shifting more toward building genuine relationships and delivering great customer service. I love being able to assist my clients — whether it’s buying their very first home or their tenth — and being a part of that journey with them.
After working with Astute professionally for many years, I knew it was a team that truly cared about its clients. Joining them felt like a natural fit, and I’m proud to be part of a supportive and experienced group that helps clients with all aspects of their financial journey — from home loans and insurance to financial planning and accounting.
I had no understanding of how the insurance side of Astute worked. After my first visit with Peta I was blown away with how she explained everything to me. And what I didn’t understand she was happy to take the extra time to explain them again. I found every time I rang the office with a query the phone was answered promptly. Gus and his team stayed in contact at all times either by email or phone just to make sure I had complete understanding of the forms I was signing and the procedures they were taking to finalise the loan. I was never left wondering what happens next.
