New and Extended Government Grants
The Government has extended a number of schemes to assist new buyers in the 2021/22 financial year, and also created a new program to assist 10,000 single parents to enter or re-enter the property market.
As your finance specialists, we’re here to help you understand your options, and get you into a new home faster. Whether these schemes can help you, a friend, or a family member, we can help you with the right advice. We take the guess work out for you, by simplifying what can sometimes be a confusing list of requirements.
Here are some of the major changes:
Family Home Guarantee – provides eligible single parents (with dependants) the opportunity to build a new home, or purchase an existing home. This is done with a deposit of 2 percent, regardless of whether that single parent is a first home buyer or previous owner-occupier.
First Home Loan Deposit Scheme (FHLDS) – New and Existing Homes – 10,000 First Home Loan Deposit Scheme places will be available for the 2021-22 financial year from 1 July 2021, including options for those purchasing both new and existing homes.
New Home Guarantee – 10,000 FHLDS places for the 2021-22 financial year, specifically for eligible buyers building or purchasing new homes. These additional places are known as the New Home Guarantee.
If you or anyone you know are looking to buy their first home, or who could benefit from these schemes, please reach out. We’d be happy to provide support and advice, and are committed to finding a solution that best suits your personal circumstances. Helping people achieve their property dreams is what we live for.
